Two effective Social media marketing ideas
Lotus winter holiday
Our First marketing campaign will be on Facebook. We would start a contest on Facebook, were all our fans can join in a lotus photo warfare! The concept is that everyone should take a picture in a winter holiday setting. The crazier, the better! These pictures will be put on our facebook page and the picture with the most likes wins. After a week the winner will be pronounced an get a journey to Avoriaz in the French Alpes. There they will be treated by kings. And receive a suite in “le cheval blanc” for a week. This trip includes breakfast and dinner. They can bring 2 friends.
Lotus popup store
The main idea for our marketing campaign to promote the web shop and brand, is to place Popup stores in major cities such as Brussels, Gent, Bruges and Antwerp. These are the starting point for the marketing campaign. In these cities we reach a diversity of potential customers. There are all cities visited by international tourists, this will make our brand/web shop known to the international market. The pop up store will be placed on busy space for example in the train stations: Sint-pieters station in Gent, Brussels, Antwerp central etc. Another option would be Zaventem airport. Touristic hotspots such as the Korenmarkt in Gent, Grotemarkt in Brussels and the Groenplaats in Antwerp would be other viable options. The popup store will be 15 by 20 meters. It will have the particular colors of the lotus brand: red, and white. All our brands will be displayed. There will be three attractive employees who serve the customers. They are fully dressed in a lotus outfit. The customers get a free coffee when they are inside. Inside the shop customers can pay with “social credit” throughout their Smartphone’s and tablets. If they put a tweet with a the lotus hashtag(#lotuspopupgent, Antwerp, Brussel it depends from the city), they receive one of our products the like. Their will also be a possibility to check in by foursquare. All other social media will be used as so called social credit. Facebook will be used as well. If they like our web shop page, they get a product. The same with Instagram, Google plus. There are different products and all have their price. The more they tweet the more products they will get. For example : a tweet and fb post will get you a more expensive product and so on. Out of the social credit users there will be a lottery each day. The winner gets a gift box full with lotus products delivered at home. There will be a huge QR-code on the popup store which leads to the web store.
