Marketing campaign
We will promote our web shop throughout four different ways:
Popup store
The main idea for our marketing campaign to promote the web shop and brand, is to place Popup stores in major cities such as Brussels, Gent, Bruge and Antwerp. These are the starting point for the marketing campaign. In these cities we reach a diversity of potential customers. There are all cities visited by international tourists, this will make our brand/web shop known to the international market. The pop up store will be placed on busy space for example in the train stations: Sint-pieters station in Gent, Brussel-Noord, Antwerpen central etc. Another option would be Zaventem airport. Touristic hotspots such as the Korenmarkt in Gent, Grotemarkt in Brussels and the Groenplaats in Antwerp would be other viable options. The popup store will be 15 by 20 meters. It will have the particular colors of the lotus brand: red, and white. All our brands will be displayed. There will be three attractive employees who serve the customers. They are fully dressed in a lotus outfit. The customers get a free coffee when they are inside. Inside the shop customers can pay with “social credit” throughout their Smartphone’s and tablets. If they put a tweet with a the lotus hashtag(#lotuspopupgent, Antwerp, Brussel it depends from the city), they receive one of our products the like. Their will also be a possibility to check in by foursquare. All other social media will be used as so called social credit. Facebook will be used as well. If they like our web shop page, they get a product. The same with Instagram, Google plus. There are different products and all have their price. The more they tweet the more products they will get. For example : a tweet and fb post will get you a more expensive product and so on. Out of the social credit users there will be a lottery each day. The winner gets a gift box full with lotus products delivered at home. There will be a huge QR-code on the popup store which leads to the web store.
Lotus truck
We will equip a truck with lotus logos and a huge button at the back. With the text “want a treat?” if people push the button a door will open and gives a lotus product to the person who pushed the button. The truck will drive through the major Belgian cities and their most known places. Also universities and high schools will used in our campaign. On each gift there will be a QR-code which leads to our web shop. This kind of marketing is relatively cheap, and will produce mouth to mouth marketing.
Social media
As a web shop we definitely used all types of social media. We have accounts on:
Affiliate marketing
We will promote our web shop by advertising ourselves on popular websites, such as cooking sites etc. Every possible site that might have link to our product. We will pay the affiliates every time a customer’s comes to our web shop throughout the link on the affiliates web site. If the customer stays longer than 5 minutes on our web shop, we pay the affiliate an amount of money.
